100th Anniversary- A Year Of Celebration
Celebrations are being made including a patch program that will kick off this coming September. Go to the national website at www.scouting.org to keep up with the developments.
2010 Philmont Contingent
There are openings available for the Buckeye Council Philmont Trek June 19-July 12, 2010. Contact Tony Scarpino for more information.
2010 Jamboree Signup
Buckeye Council has been recognized for an achievement that is rare on a national scale. We are one of a very few councils that have not only filled their allotted contingents for the Boy Scout National Jamboree in 2010, but have generated a waiting list in case an opening becomes available.
In light of this fact, Buckeye Council has been awarded a third contingent for the jamboree.
As of the March Roundtable, the adult slots have been filled and there are about 12 scout slots available.
The time to act is now while you have the chance. To sign up, call council 1800-589-9812, and ask for an Jamboree application. For more information, contact James Norris at 330-464-2460, jamesnorris68@hotmail.com or Paul Moodispaw at 330-262-6682, moodispaw@sssnet.com .
James and Paul are two of the scoutmasters for the Jamboree contingents.
Thanks! for helping out...

Jamboree Patch Fundraiser
The
Buckeye Council Jamboree Committee is sponsoring a special Great
Moments in Scouting History Series for the 2010 National Jamboree as a
fundraiser to help defray the costs of sending our Council Contingents
to the Jamboree. There is an inaugural series of six (6) patches that
will be offered in both a Collector Edition and a Limited Edition
format. Follow this link for more information.Good Turn For America... And For Scouting, Too!
See what kind of impact Scouting's good turns have by checking out http://www.goodturnforamerica.org/
. Look at the top right corner and see how many hours have been
accumulated so far. Keep in mind though, this is only a fraction of
what it could be if we all did our part and reported our Good Turn
hours. Let's make that number GROW!
Hey!
Scouters, Roundtable is more than just calender events for the scoutmaster. It is programming for all of your unit staff. If you have people (assistant scoutmaster, committee member, OA rep, SPL, etc.) that do not normally attend Roundtable, please encourage them to do so. OA members and SPLs NEED to be there! The more, the merrier! And pass this information along to those scouters without e-mail.
Feedback Is A Gift
Do you see information on this page that is not quite right? Is something missing that should be here? Do you have comments or ideas that would make our Roundtable meeting or this webpage better for all of us? Please don't hesitate to let me know (I can take it!). It is through better communication that constant improvement is made. My contact information is listed below.
